Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble avionics test equipment such as cable assemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies, circuit card assemblies and electronic component assemblies, following engineering prints and using hand tools, soldering equipment and automated crimpers
- Assist with the testing of wiring assemblies for operational defects
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, specifications and work orders to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
- 6 months experience with electrical wiring related to electronic test equipment and/or avionics systems
- Must be US Citizen or permanent resident
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to attach or mark identification onto products or containers
- Ability to communicate visually or verbally
- Ability to confer with technical or manufacturing personnel
- Ability to consult with managerial or supervisory personnel
- Ability to use assembly equipment
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Ability to examine work to verify conformance to specifications
- Ability to fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
- Ability to follow process control procedures
- Ability to maintain production or work records
- Ability to modify products
- Ability to monitor assembly quality
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ability to read work orders, instructions, and wire lists
- Ability to solder electrical and/or electronic connections and components
- Ability to use computers to enter, access, and retrieve data
- Ability to use electronic test devices
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to use precision measuring tools
- Ability to work as a team member
